I use more desiccant than is really necessary, about 10-15 grams, but these keep my filament nice and dry. Do your part, seal the closure correctly, and they work great. While they have a vacuum drawn, it is possible to knock small holes in them if they are bumped up against a hard object, or if spool clips have sharp edges. But with reasonable care you can expect them to last for several cycles. Putting something soft under the bag at the valve, say a folded up washcloth, seems to help give a better seal when pumping the air out. Even once they stop holding a vacuum, I use them to bag parts and other things, they are thicker than a regular ziplock bag. Overall great purchase.
